As the 2022 race season approaches, teams please remember that RaceCeiver style (RE and others make also) radios are mandatory for all drivers competing at Wilmot Raceway, no matter the class. Also Wilmot requests teams own their own Westhold “yellow” transponders. Wilmot has a few transponders available for rent, though they are the team’s responsibility to own and charge and have ready for each event. The weather has not been very cooperative thus far in getting much work done out at the track, but the crew is ready and as we have a few consecutive dry days they’ll be out there and it’ll be tech / practice before you know it, so please remember cars must be safety checked prior to hitting the track. Once the crew has finished preparing the new clay to the point they feel it’s ready for a practice we’ll post it.... it’s all weather dependent. We’ll post updates as we know more but just wanted drivers to be sure they have their safety gear ready for inspection, including registering their transponders, and proof of a RaceCeiver style radio once we get the green light. And drivers be sure to carry new batteries, as a working radio is a requirement. Just trying to get everyone ready as we’ll be going from winter weather to race season in a short time. Thank You, and we’re looking to a fun and exciting season at the track. If you compete in a IRA sanctioned class, please get your memberships in, see www.irasprints.com or www.wisconsinwingless.com or www.iralightningsprints.com for membership info. Thank You....
