May 17, 2024 – Bristol, WI. Wilmot Raceway and Hepfner Racing Products/ HRP Wings are coming together to provide an incentive for chasing victories throughout the night in the newly formed Lift Pro Powered by Gandrud Chevrolet Winged 604 Sprint Car Series at the Wilmot Raceway in 2024. HRP/HRP Wings has a rich history in winning and wants to continue their winning culture with a new points challenge at Wilmot with the competitors of the new series as they will award the Top 3 finishers at years end of this special points challenge. This will be a totally separate points chase of the overall season championship points.
All competitors that choose to be awarded points for the 2024 Hepfner Racing Products/HRP Wings Victory Chaser Challenge will be required to adorn a provided HRP decal on both sides of their top wing along with the required Lift Pro Powered by Gundrud Chevrolet Winged 604 Sprint Car Series Decals. Every time a competitor hits the track, they have an opportunity to earn a point, or points by completing an event in the top spot. The fastest qualifier of the night will earn 1 – point, a Heat Race victory earns a driver 2 – points, and the Feature victor will gain themselves 3 – points. If a driver were able to complete a clean sweep (fast time, heat race win, and feature win), that driver would collect 2 – extra bonus points. The feature’s Hard Charger driver would also collect 1 – point for their efforts.
Action kicked off this past weekend and started with a bang as Brian Kristan of Zion, IL broke the track record set last year with a lap time of 13.653 seconds earning him the night’s first point. Action resumed in the heat races with Greg Olsen of Round Lake Heights, IL and CJ Malueg of Johnsburg, IL picking up heat race victories earning each driver 2 – points. Malueg continued his winning ways in the Feature as he led flag to flag to win his first ever Lift Pro Powered by Gundrud Chevrolet 604 Sprint Car Series Feature earning him 3 – points for his effort. Kristan also earned 1 – point in the feature for advancing 5 – positions to earn the night’s Hard Charger.
Action continues this Saturday, May 18th as the drivers hit the track again to collect more points for the 2024 Hepfner Racing Products/HRP Wings Victory Chaser Challenge.
