The Wilmot Raceway will host a open wheel spectacular this Saturday June 13th. The Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series headline the evening, as the 900 horsepower 410 ci winged sprints make their inaugural Wilmot appearance of the year. Led by the winningest driver in IRA history, “The North Pole Nightmare” Bill Balog and his 9 series titles, 13 overall IRA championships will be represented Saturday, as Scotty Neitzel with 2, and Jeremy Schultz, and Jake Blackhurst have all been crowned series champions and all will be on hand. Add Scotty Thiel, Russ Borland, and twenty plus more of the best in the Midwest and it should make for plenty of high horsepower entertainment. Adding to the fun will be a large contingent of AutoMeter Wisconsin wingLESS Sprints, led by last week’s opening night winner Ryan Zielski, defending series champ Chris Dodd, and defending Wilmot champ Jimmy Sivia. The 1000cc winged IRA Lightning Sprints make 2020 debut as Mike Neau, Mark Heinert, Ion Steer, and CJ Malueg lead the way, and one of the best Modified classes in Wisconsin with stars Joe Huenfeld, Mike & Nick Simons, Chris Carlson, Mike Wittenburg, and opening night winner Tim Hamburg concluding the 4 premier divisions competing Saturday. 100 race cars are expected! Spectator gates open at 5, with warm-ups at 6, followed by Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series qualifying time trials, with racing to follow. Adult grandstand tickets for the 4-division open wheel spectacular are $25, with kids 11-7 just $5. Pit passes are $30.
