Kelby Watt, a resident of Adel, IA graduated from ADM High School in 2019. He graduates from Iowa State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in May 2024. Kelby also participates in the Formula SAE team with Iowa State.
Kelby started racing outlaw dirt karts at the age of 4 and moved into micro sprints at the age of 9. His first year in a 305 sprint car was 2016 and then in 2019 drove his first 360… Kelby took a year off from racing in 2022 to intern at Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte, NC. In 2023 Watt made his 410 sprint car debut at the Knoxville Nationals. In 2024 he will be racing in the 410 class as a rookie.
