Bio: Josh Schneiderman is one of a handful of talented young sprint car drivers in the Midwest. Josh comes from a family of racers, in father/car owner Bart, and uncle, John Schulz. Nicknamed “The Professor”, the West Burlington, Iowa native moved up to the 410 class in 2008, after two full years at Knoxville in the 360 class. A highlight of his rookie season with the 410’s came at his home track, the 34 Raceway. He finished third with the World of Outlaws behind Tony Bruce Jr. and Steve Kinser with the home crowd on its feet.
At Knoxville, Josh showed steady improvement in his rookie 410 campaign, finishing 17th in the point race in 2008. He continued to race with the Southeast Iowa/Illinois based Sprint Invaders series, registering two wins with that series and finishing third in points (he also finished third with the series in 2014). He was the “Most Improved Driver” with that series in 2003 and 2005, and won the “Kevin Doty Memorial Perseverance Award” in 2005.
2010 was a great season for Josh, as he qualified for his first Knoxville Nationals finale, racing through the B main, and surging from 23rd to 13th in the finale. The season was another success for Josh as he finished third on July 17, and notched three top five finishes to end a career-best eighth in the point race. His patented charges from the back, earned him Lyle Boyd Hard Charger of the Year honors in the 410 class. The last three seasons have found him finishing 10th, 11th and 15th in the season standings.
