The Kenosha County Fair's Wilmot Raceway has much in place for what should be a great 2020 racing season. We are no different than most however, and are on hold as the world fights the COVID-19 virus. The safety of everyone is our primary concern at the moment, and when government officials give us the green light to move forward, we'll do our best to be ready and get cars on the track as soon as possible. 4/18/20 Wilmot Raceway Update: There really isn't any changes in our plans since we last updated. Wilmot Raceway, like all race tracks in WI, are under state government mandates due to COVID-19. The Governor has extended the SaferAtHome mandate thru May 26th, so with that being said, we can't open to host events or practices, through May 26th.... at this point. Update as of May 14th. First and foremost. we hope everyone is doing well. Despite last night's ruling, because Kenosha Co is still considered one of Wisconsin's "hot spots", the county has continued the Governor's original ruling which extends through May 26th. The Wilmot Raceway is proud to announce our intentions of putting cars on the track for the first time in 2020, as we plan to tech and practice this Saturday May 23rd, weather permitting because as of now the raceway looks more like Lake Wilmot due to all the recent rain. Practice is on as scheduled tomorrow, Saturday May 23rd. Pits only, $20 ea. Gates open at 1, with tech open at that time. Tech will be done under the canopy entrance to Fair from the parking lot. Cars must pass safety tech prior to hitting the track, so get there on time, get teched and the get some laps. If conditions allow we’ll move up the scheduled track time of 4pm. (Wilmot, WI, Saturday, June 27, 2020)--Chase McDermand of Springfield, IL came from the back twice to score the win in the BADGER Midgets Salute to Harry Turner Classic Saturday, June 27 at Wilmot Raceway.
